About Hotel Matador

Hotel Matador is one of Motley County’s most sought-after Bed and Breakfasts. It is situated centrally between Floydada and Paducah on SH62 and Turkey and Dickens on the SH70. Our hotel was established in 1914 and boasts a colorful and historic past.

Established on just over a quarter acre of land the Hotel Matador provides comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, a warm and cozy living room and a large dining room that covers the most important meal of the day – a delicious freshly made plated breakfast. The private walled garden is available to guests for barbequing or for social visits with friends.

Our guests choose our hotel as their destination not just for its charm and value but also for the benefit of a more personalized experience; they get a feel for the local culture, and some excellent sight-seeing recommendations. They overnight in the Inn after a hiking or biking tour of the breath taking Caprock Canyon State Park and Trail and, occasionally our guests stay while they are attending family events or visiting friends who live in the area.

We also cater to the Sportsmen (including gals), who travel to Matador from all over the USA to enjoy the numerous hunting opportunities available on our Buffalo grass and Mesquite covered plains and they end the day sharing stories over a barbeque in our walled courtyard.

Hotel Matador has a welcome home like vibe and the simple magic of this place rests in its character and our personalized service.

At Hotel Matador, we invite you to come for the hike and spend the night !
